(2) University sponsor compliance tightened from 1 June 2026 with a new Red/Amber/Green rating system — your CAS now takes longer and requires cleaner documentation. (3) UKVI visa processing exceeds 3 weeks during June–August peak season. Apply before mid-July for September intake.

📋 Skilled Worker Threshold
£33,400/year minimum salary for new entrants (under 26 or switching from Graduate Route) to convert to Skilled Worker visa.

New from Winter Semester 2026/27: minimum 70% in Class XII required for undergraduate pathways (Studienkolleg + direct admission). Additionally, APS India has officially announced the Digital Master Test (dMAT) as a new requirement for selected Master's applicants from India.

Australia reclassified India as Evidence Level 3 (High Risk) from January 2026, adding 1–2 weeks of extra manual checks to every Indian student visa. The National Planning Level (NPL) cap limits new enrolments to 295,000 students in 2026. Financial proof required: approximately ₹16.5–17 lakhs for living expenses alone (excluding tuition). Students can no longer switch from a Visitor Visa to Student Visa inside Australia — must apply offshore from India.
